Heys people !!! ME have been attending CCS practices every thursday from 4-6pm ...

Yeah i am taking part in the SYF for CCS in drama =.= lolz ...

Last week kena told off by 1 of the teachers for not memorising my script...

This week i remembered my lines and did my scene ... but she still viewed at my performances through tinted glasses ... think that time i lack body posture ??? or maybe emotions la .... lolz ...

dread the next session ...

Library Tour in CJC !!!

Yo peeps !!!

Just yesterday i went with my class on a library tour ... it's main purpose was to educate us more on the rules and regulations and also to let us know the range of stuff that we are entitled to borrow .. the duration ... the fines etc...

and there's like a super big range of GP materials ... economics magazines like The Economics ...

super many literature references ... novels and stuff la ...

First Mass PE !!! IN CJC !!!

i tell u la ... Mass PE is like super tough ??? it's kinda like the army ... except ... HARDER !!!

damn !!! what's the world coming to ??? it's JC and we are trained well above army standards ...

AND !!! the target for all the students is atleast a SILVER for NAFA !!!! omg ...

anyways ... we ran around the school twice and then did a whole lotsa stuff like jumping jets ... sit ups ... crunches ... burpies ... and above all that must still shout some stuff la !!!

and most ironically it's the subject that i scored A1 at the O lvls ...

apparently it reads out the chinese text to me ... cuz i got too many words i dunno how to read :p

As the title suggests ... I am signing up for NYAA - National Youth Achievement Award ...

I dunno why I suddenly so enthu about it ... BUT !!! almost my whole class is signing up for it la so i guess i might as well do it oso lor ... BUT !!! i signed up for GOLD AWARD lei !!! not Silver !!! not Bronze u know ??? like super stressful la ??? ~it cost me S$17 lolz~

but i was telling myself .. go for it !!! and chiong for my 2 years in CJC and have some achievements !!!

U wanna know why i say it's so ~siong~ ??? Check out the requirements ...

• Skills - At least 18 months ... which means u must take part in smth that requires REAL SKILLS like cookery, drawing, chess, gardening etc ... All CCA's like clubs and society and performing arts are consdered ... ~So lucky me I am in CCS so no worries :p~
• Sports - 40 hours over at least 12 weeks ... OMG !!! how do i achieve this la ??? damn worried man !!! i am soooooooooo not good in any aspects of Sports !!! ~ALL u pple out there ... u know i have lousy hand and eye coordination hor ???~ damn it ...
• Service - 60 hours over 12 months ... service to the school !!! service to the community ??? sai man !!! where got so much time to do it sia ??? pple ... ~start worrying for me ... like ... now ...~
• Adventure Camp - For gold award pple must go for the 4D3N camp organised by the school ... this i heard is quite fun one la ... smth like outward bound thingy where u spend all the time in the outdoors :p yay !!! BUT !!! it's physically demanding ... lolz ...
• Reidential Project - This means OCIP - Overseas Community Involvement Project. the best thing about this is that the school is goanna give us a guideline bout the requirements and the whole class will have to get together and then PLAN the trip ...

BUT !!! nothing can ~nan dao wo~ !!! wahahaha !!!

So did my research on the net, called the organisers and finalised it ...

Go Red For Women activities includes a series of supermarket roadshow in March & April. We will conduct Basic Health Screening and Supermarket Tour for the public.

and i heard it's every weekend of March ... and the supermarts are like in Jurong and Bedok??? So i am goanna be doing a bit of travelling ...

AND 1 MORE THING !!! For the sports thingy rite ??? me and my friend sighed up for ballroom dancing that the school offered !!! yay !!! and guess what !!! it's a 12 hour programme !!!! that's like a quarter of my requirements la !!! but !!! lo and behold !!! there's always a down side to it, we must pay S$40 for it ... lolz ...

SO... wish me luck pple ... no more weekends left in March ... is u r thinking of asking me out :p

Hello pple !!!

Today my friend ~aka damn close friend~ formally announced to the class that she will be leaving in the middle of school term ... most slightly by the end of March ...

Her father is in the Air Force and has been posted to the US to work and the whole family is tagging along ... psst ~~~ even the dog is going too ~~~

me damn sad la .. cuz she is the first person that i really really clicked with in my entire class of 22 people =.= and she's leaving ...

anyways ... first things first ... cuz she was my HTC ~Home Tuititorial Counsellor~ aka Monitor and since she is leaving my Home tutor has requested that we find a replacement - through a vote.

and after the whole class has submitted their slips ~ur vote is secret :)~ the teachers counted and ... my whole class elected ME !!!! YAY !!!

i was super surprised that they even considered me ... but to pen down my name and nominate me ??? wah ... that totally blew my mind away ... i was caught off guard when my teacher said it was me ...

so ... with great power comes great responsiblilty ... so i was put in charge of the class and had to take over all e admin stuff =.= lolz ...

oh 1 more thing !!! i hit e GYM today !!! yay !!! was a good workout la .. although i lasted only bout an hour ... heh heh :p

Hey Peeps !!!

Today i finally got my CONFIRMED timetable !!! and the worst thing is that i have PE twice a week !!!

Shit man !!! now that the school year has officially started ... i noticed that in the new timetable a typical day in school lasts till about 4 or 5pm in the evening !!! SUPER NO LIFE MAN !!!

Damn sad =.= Lucky the CCA that i join is damn slack ...

i join Chinese Cultural Society and only got meetings once a week on thurs ... besides i even landed myself a role in an upcoming Chinese drama that my CCA is going to put up for SYF ~S’pore Youth Festival~ yay !!! jus hope i can suppress my stage fright and deliver my lines successfully ;p

but anyways !!! today i tried smth new !!!

I wore contacts for the first time !!! yeah ... cuz i didn’t wanna have my spects on during PE.

So ...

Yeah !!! and when i wore it pple say i look much younger and more “shuai” lei !!! :p

But i realised that my vision would be a bit more blur as compared to wearing spects cuz i got astigmatism ...

and my eyes got a tired very easily and a little dry by the end of the day... :(

P.S. btw i lazy and took e photos with my phone so a little blur ... paiseh ...

First Week in CJC !!!!

Dearest Peeps,

my first week in CJC has just ended ... but it feels like it had just started ...

everything that has happened feels like a surreal dream to me right now ... even as i am typing this i still cannot believe that i have subjected my self to such "treatment" for the next 2 years ...

in the first week i experienced what's called a REAL lecture and tutorial ... in a lecture all the students will cram into 1 big lecture hall and then there will be a teacher that will kick start a particular topic in the subject ...

the lecture will end with homework that is supposed to be completed by the next tutorial ... so yeah ... in tutorials we go through the work allocated ... and then the whole routine starts again ...

over and over the whole process takes place ... multiple times for the various subjects... it’s supposed to prepare us for uni ... but i fell the whole cycle is not very productive and i feel ... feel so ... so ... jaded ...

everything is just so different from secondary school ... u are suddenly thrown into so many things that u are unsure of ~but have to make sense of~ in such a short period of time ...

i jus cannot adapt to it ... everything feels so surreal ... the environment ...the friends... the CCAs ... the .... EVERYTHING !!!

in a JC u dun have much time to bond with ur classmates ... yeah sure u talk to them... u have lunch together ... u laugh at jokes together ... u do stuff together... but the feeling is jus not the same anymore ...

in JC at most u become acquaintances ... at best u become good buddies ... but to get to the stage of ... “zhi ji” ~means super close~ is close to impossible ...

i’ve not come to the stage where i regret my decision to sign up to a JC yet ... and i sincerely hope that day never comes ...


haz on a lighter note ... it’s good to be in a JC cuz there’s Valentine’s Day !!! and u get gifts !!! wahaha !!! i got a couple from my classmates and some of them i thought were really sweet ...

oh ... and i still have not officially joined a CCA yet ...

Orientation Finale on Sat !

wahaha ! as usual all good things must come to an end ...

so the orientation had to come to a close on Sat and very soon we would have to immerse ourselves in the hectic lives of junior college =.=

anyways the orientation ended in the evening with all of us back into our origional orientation groups and into our respective houses ... mine is ZEUS !!!!

so we had lots of cheering going on in the Audi ... where all the six houses each putting up a mini skit and also decorating their house banners ...

we finally ended the camp with a Mass Dance and a short clip of the whole orientation activities ...

haz but the night was still young and me IG and I decided to hop over the Orchard to have dinner at Pastamania !!! all 17 of us ... quite a crowd huh ?

kay la i let u in on wad interesting stuff we did k ? ;p

Day 1

it's more of the usual ice breakers and there was a talk by the principal himself on the various different subjects the the JC is offering ... was to give us a better idea of what the subject was b4 signing up ... cuz they offering a couple of new subjects ...

oh we were oso introduced to the various houses in a refreshing manner ... all their houses are named after ancient Greek Gods like Appolo and Zeus etc so CJC had e "Gods" perform a skit before annuncing which IG was in which house ... Mine's in Zeus ! WAY TO GO ! ZAP U !!!!!!

Day 2

had a lot of games int eh field that helped in the bonding of me and my team mates la ...

oh btw i'm in IG 32 ... Super cool grp ;0

We played games like :

1. Twister - there will be coloured starched plates on the ground and e grp ahs to put e various body parts that are required onto each colour plates ... urgh .. must get down and dirty one ...
2. Dodgeball - 2 grps will play and each must aim to hit each other with a wet ball
3. Chair - players must sit on every chair in the row before meeting e other player and play scissors, paper, stone. can only proceed if u win ... e chairs are wet with coloured starch ...
4. Dog and Card - 2 grps will play and members must number off themseleves ... when their number is called they must run to the middle where there is a box full of cards and pick the card that the game master called out. point can only be obtained if the member returns to his team without getting tapped
5. Clue Chase - basically a gd knowledge of the school is required ... clues in pictioral form is given and teams must go round e school ...

oh ... Subject combi registeration is today oso ... So is the CCA selection ... we oso did a learning techniques questionare :)

Moi signed up for Chinese Cultural Society and ... Dance ;p

Day 3

Learnt the traditional mass dance

Also got accquainted with the house cheers and also the CJC cheers which will come into use when we support our school in inter school competitions :)

Played more ~dirty~ games ;p

this time we had to complete a couple of obstacle courses b4 we were allowed to call it a day.

First up was a ball game there a sponge ball was soaked in water and u had to put it at ur pits and in btw ur knees and transport it to another pail before "squeese-ing" the water out.

once it had reached a certain height, the whole grp had to roll on the field ~trust me it's not nice dry or wet~

then there's the caterpillar ... where all members have to alternate btw the opp sexes and sit on the ground with e legs bent and placed in btw the front's persons tights ... ~damn uncomfortable and awkard too~all have to be properly "connected" before u can proceed ~in the caterpillar form~ to the next station ...

yeah ... it's not over yet ... there's worse to come ...

at the next station one member must volunteer themself to be covered in ~foam~ where to get it? Simple ... all the other members must wet their hair and shampoo them ... now u know where to get the foam :) guys and girls alike ... all must ... i jus pity those with contact lenses and e girls with super long hair and of course not forgetting e guy who was covered in foam from head to toe :)

at the second last station all must ~in their wet and soapy state~ do 5 turns around a stick, run to use ur mouth n get beans in a plate of flour, keep it in ur mouth and do 5 jumping jets b4 spitting it out onto a plate ... if it drops from ur mouth u must use ur mouth and pick it up ... GROSS ! @#$%@#%@^@$#@# yah ... tell me bout it dude ...

YAY ! finally it was at the last and final station ! ~that's what we thought too~ supposed to be like super slack and let u finish it one right ? NO LOR !

must run up a super long flight of steps and grab a bite of a watermelon before running down ... all members must have a go at it ... so imagine u r e last with all e other's soap, flour and saliva u take a bite ... alamak ... JC pple ... u must really hand it to them for comming up with so many ideas to torture us ...

BUT ! even though it was tough ! ~no doubts~ we did it as a grp ... strong and united as 1! So guess what ?!? WE WON FIRST PLACE ! MY IG 32 ! MINE ! MY IG 32 ! U GO PEEPS ! 32 32 32 ALL THE WAY !

Day 4

we went for Dragon Boating ! super fun la ... but lotsa pple got a slight sunburn ... including me :x

yeah ... we did not win e 1 minute race la =.= but we all tried out best la ... and it's damn hard la not at all easy lor ... my muscles shi aching de lor ...

but i must still make special mention of the bus drivers ... cuz of e crazy splashing we were all ~soaking~ wet ! but when we boarded the bus and plonked our ~salty and wet~ asses onto their dry and cushy cushioned bus seats ... oh my ... must reall hand it to them for not even making any complains ! we all felt bad la but damn tired liao so just sit on it la :x our bad :p

oh yeah ... cuz i signed up for Chinese Cultural Society ... i had to go for my first meeting today :)

but it turned out to be drama rehearsals ??? and on the day itself i was given a chinese script that i have never seen b4 and i had to rehearse it with pple that i have not seen nor met b4 and i was supposed to not be nervous and had to completely protray the accurate emotions of the character ???

Geez ... and the worse thing is that almost the whole club is filled from people from China ? OMG ??? their chinese is like so damn perfect ? and have u seen the script ? i stumbled upon so many words that i dunno how to read la ... and i am in JC1 liao la ... for goodness sake ! i looked like a fool next to them ?!?

Yeah they were supper supportive of me la but still it was inevitable that i would read some words wrongly ... i knew it sounded wrong but i had to contine cuz everyone in the room was watching ? they tried their best not to laugh at me la but how can u not snigger under those circumstances? i would oso laugh la ... alamak ... i felt damn dumb ...

but the teacher said that my diction was perfect ok .. dun play play hor ... but she say i must brush up on my chinese ... oh ... she oso say that my emotions came very naturally hor ...

yeah i understood that drama would be a part of the club activities la ... but this year is a Singapore Youth Festival year so they will be starting to rehearse from now all the way to much later so i ... so i ... cannot make it and cannot take it la and i decided to tell the teacher ASAP and told her that i was not so keen on the idea of chinese drama and i would not be coming back for more ... Short and sweet ... but she told me that if i do change my mind she will still take me in:)

let me mention that i first joined it cuz at the end of the year the whole club will go on a super heavily subdised trip to China ! i really wanna go ... i mean i can go myself with a tour grp la ... but if u go with a school u get to do fun stuff not e usual sightseeing u know ? sigh ...

guess i shall stick to my dance then :)

oh yeah i just bought my school uni too :)

Day 5

Today we only got time from 7.35 - 9.30 am to be our origional orientation group :( cuz by 9.30 we will be notified of our new classes and then we will have to split up to join our classes ...

for the record i am in group 1T10 ... and i am taking H2 : Maths, Econs, Lit and H1 : Geo and the 3 complusory subjects like GP, MT and Project Work :)

and i realised that in the arts stream there are very little guys la !!! can u believe it in my class there are only like what ... 4 guys ??? and that's after including myself !!! ~my class got 24 pple in total~ wah ... tell me bout it man ...

got to know where our class was ~C4 04~ and our new ~form teacher~ aka Home Tutor as they call it ... then we did icebreakers in school before going to Hortpark as a class ... we have to solve the mystery of how Hercules died ... apparently there are 3 suspects and 2 witnesses ... so u have to do some tasks before the character will give u clues ...

it was super hot in the afternoon but then suddenly it rained so we had to stop all the games and gather in the shelter ... but we can be considered quite lucky cuz that bonded us even more :) when we were waiting we jus started talking and getting to know each other and played more icebreakers :)
